If you've made it this far, chances are you're serious about transforming your space — and we’re thrilled to help
bring your vision to life.
This guide is more than answers — it’s about empowering you to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Surface Preparation
Yes. We diamond-grind every floor to remove contaminants,
open up pores, and ensure long-term adhesion. This step is
essential before concrete floor base coating can be
poured — especially in the moist, coastal climate of
Vancouver and Richmond. No shortcuts. Ever.
Technically Yes. But we don’t do that. For proper bonding,
coatings must be applied to clean, bare concrete. We
remove old paints, adhesives, and sealers through
industrial grinding.
Not much at all. We use HEPA-filtered vacuums during
grinding to minimize dust— keeping your space clean and
safe during prep, especially important for basements and
indoor work. It is also important to keep your floor free
from dust specs before epoxy can be poured.
Concrete Repair
Absolutely. We repair all surface cracks and imperfections
using high-performance patching products. In cities like
Abbotsford and higher altitude cities of West Vancouver, &
North Vancouver, where freeze-thaw cycles are common, this
step is critical.
We level out minor unevenness through grinding. If your
floor requires more serious levelling, we’ll assess and
recommend the best solution for a smooth, seamless result.
Base Coat
• Epoxy: Epoxy is made by mixing a resin and a hardener,
which chemically react to form a strong plastic-like
surface. It takes longer to dry / cure, which gives
installers time to apply it smoothly. Once cured, it
becomes hard, durable, and resistant to chemicals and
stains.
• Polyaspartic: Polyaspartic is part of the polyurea
family and cures much quicker than epoxy — sometimes in
just a few hours. It resists UV rays, scratches, and
temperature changes better than an epoxy. However it is
more premium in pricing and you may not necessarily need
it for your use case. We assess your space and goals to
recommend the right system.
Decorative Flakes & Design Options
Absolutely! We offer hundreds of color and flake blends —
or you can create a custom one. Want your company logo or
luxury car emblem embedded into the floor? Consider it
done. With GlossyEpoxy, your floor becomes a canvas.
Yes. We use high-end metallic pigments poured in flowing
patterns to create a sleek, 3D look. These are perfect for
basements, studios, offices, and retail spaces. Our 2-3
coat system gives the depth and dimension to the floor.
Top Coat
We offer anti-slip additives such as high-grade aluminum
oxide or silica for enhanced safety — especially useful in
garages or entrances in rainy cities like Vancouver,
Richmond, and Langley.
Curing Time
•Light foot traffic: ~24 hours
•Vehicle use: ~72 hours
Polyaspartics cure faster, making them perfect for garages
and commercial spaces with tight timelines.
Not with us. We monitor temperature and humidity closely
to recommend the right product for the weather conditions.
Polyaspartics cure well even in colder months, so rain or
shine — GlossyEpoxy is ready when you are.
Finish Types
We offer:
• Glossy
• Satin/matte
• Metallic
• Flaked (light to full broadcast)
• Marble look
We’ll help you select the best finish to match your space,
vision, and function. For instance if you have Porsche in
pastel green color, we will recommend a contrasting gold
hue metallic floor for that royal look that your Porsche
deserves.
Yes, both epoxy and polyaspartic topcoats are
UV-resistant, making them perfect for sunlit areas like
patios or garages in Delta, Tsawwassen, and Richmond which
are at lower latitude than northern Vancouver cities and
are more exposed to sun.
Floor Care & Maintenance
•Use a microfiber mop or soft broom
•Water + mild soap works for most spills
•Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners
•Wax occasionally to restore shine
Simple and stress-free — just the way floor care should
be.
Our coatings are chemical-resistant and professionally
bonded to the concrete.
We use 100% solids epoxy, which means there are no
fillers — only strength. Peeling only happens when prep is
poor, and that’s never the case with GlossyEpoxy.
Pricing & Warranty
Our pricing starts at $5.99 per square foot, varying with
size, finish, and prep needs. We believe premium doesn’t
have to mean pricey — and we’ll always recommend the best
system that fits your budget.
Absolutely. Our warranty is our word. If something goes
wrong due to installation or product failure, we’ll fix it
— often at no cost to you. That’s the GlossyEpoxy Promise.
